How often do you defragment your computer? Every week. Every few months. Whenever my computer starts getting really slow. I probably did once... I don't defrag. In fact, I don't even know what that means. How often do you run an anti-virus program, if ever? As often as I can, especially when I download files from the Internet. Weekly, or I have them scheduled weekly. Every few months or so. Only when my screen gets bombarded with pop-ups or acts funky. I don't run/own an anti-virus program. Helloooo Blue Screen of Death! Do you check if your anti-virus definitions are up to date? I have them automatically updated. Every time I run the anti-virus program. Every once in a while. I never update anything. I don't run/own an anti-virus program. How much spam mail do you recieve? I don't recieve much spam at all/ever. I'll recieve some, but my junk mail controls take care of them. I recieve about the same amount of spam as regular email and I ignore them. I recieve much more spam than regular email. I'm up to my eyeballs in spam mail every day. How often do you click on pop-ups and unknown attachments? I block popups and don't open unknown attachments unless I scan them first. I X out of popups and don't open attachments unless they are from someone I know. I X out of popups and sometimes open attachments. I occasionally click on pop-ups if they intrigue me and sometimes open attachments. I will click on pop-ups and attachments without a second thought. I'd love to shoot a moving duck in those advertisements and win a free flat screen tv! Do you run a spyware remover? How often? I scan my computer for spyware as often as I can. I scan every few weeks or so. I scan when I start to notice curious little pop-ups and programs installed on my computer. I only scan if my computer is FUBARed. I don't have an anti-spyware program. What operating system do you use? Windows XP/2000 with all the latest patches and all. Windows XP/2000 but downloading updates are a nuisance. Windows 98/ME. Windows 95 or lower (lol Stone Age). Linux/MAC OS, etc. Down with Microsoft!! How often do you back-up? A full system back-up runs automatically each day. I do a full system back-up weekly. I have never done a full system back-up, but I back-up documents, spreadsheets and other data daily. I manually back-up information whenever I think of it. I do not recall the last time I did a back-up.
